I was hoping this issue would get fixed in the latest update, but it appears otherwise.
When I record videos in a low-light setting, the frame rate drops to around 15fps from the normal 30fps, giving the video a laggy appearance. This problem also happens in the Flash 2, as you can see in this video sample:
I observed that the Flash Plus 2 tries to keep the image quality in video recording mode as high as in image capture mode at the expense of frame rate. Meanwhile, in most other phones, the image quality in video recording is dimmer and lower in quality than in image capture mode, but the frame rate is a constant 30fps. Some phones allow you to switch between high image quality or high performance/frame rate, like the Asus Zenfones.
Do you guys notice this problem too, or is it just me? And if you do have it, do you mind it? I personally have high regard for smooth frame rates in my videos and wouldn't mind a small decrease in brightness and image quality. Flash Devs, please add a toggle feature in the next update that allows us to switch between high image quality or high performance!
